What the hell is that annoying chopping sound at the beginning of the song.
OK I know I just opened the door for the Roger haters but maybe someone can
answer that question without their rage getting in the way.

It's the sound of an axe cutting wood,or chopping down a tree. Been
awhile since I last listened...
