I got mine. For the Oakland Arena.

Come to think of it, that's where he played during the 80s on the
Pros/Cons and KAOS tours.

And, to think...after Shoreline, the Oakland Arena will feel like an
intimate setting.

I got the "cheap" $60 seats.

I saw Roger last year at The Palace of Auburn Hills (where the Detroit
Pistons play basketball.) It was a great concert, but not what I'd
call an intimate setting.

Last week I saw My Chemical Romance at Joe Louis Arena (where the
Detroit Red Wings play hockey.) Smaller crowd, and the acoustics
weren't very good, but a VERY energetic and loud audience; it was
a fantastic concert. I'm seeing Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
there next week.

Yes, I'm still in shock I was able to score a ticket. I'm guessing
the third Detroit date was added recently, and not very many people
had heard about it. I know that the show for Van Andel Arena in
Grand Rapids sold out in under 20 minutes, and the second show added
there sold out in 25 minutes. I haven't heard any numbers for the
other two shows in Detroit, but I'm sure they sold out in record
time as well. Those are at Cobo Arena instead.

I've only seen one show at Cobo Arena, and it was the worst concert
I've ever been to. Horrible acoustics, a small and unruly crowd,
and the band sucked. It was Bonham, formed around Jason Bonham, the
son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Jason was a really good
drummer, but the rest of the band sucked, and over 30 minutes of
drum solos in a 75 minute concert got pretty monotonous.

To get back on topic, I'm thinking of seeing Roger at the Chicago
concert, at The United Center. I've actually been there before,
when I saw the Red Wings beat the Blackhawks, around eight years ago.

The last few times Roger Waters has played in the San Francisco Bay Area,
it's been at Shoreline, an outdoor arena with a capacity of 25,000.

And, I've been up on the lawn.

The thing is...those few shows were either sell-outs of real close.

I guess touring the exact same show doesn't draw out the casual fan?

I have no idea if this latest tour is selling well, but due to the lack of
any buzz here (or on other music newsgroups, for that matter) I'd guess
not.

That said, I'd love if he did the complete Amused To Death rather than
DSOTM again.

I saw Roger last year in Chicago at Tinley park. My wife got us 3rd row and
it was phenomenal. She could not have cared less but I was stoked. DSOTM
has been my favorite for years and years and years so it was truly something
for me to see. We have tickets again for the Xcel centre in June. I hope
it is as good...

I imagine it's going to be the exact same show.

Minus the pig that got away.

The pig "gets away" at every show.
