This month, August 2007, marks the 40th Anniversary of the release of
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn by Pink Floyd. This happens to be the
album of the second oldest intentional Album/Movie Synchronization.
To those that don't already know, I present:
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967) with The War of the Worlds
(1952)
- sync grade = B
- discovered by Andrew Wendland in July 2003
- revealed on 11.07.03
- sync length = movie length (approx. 1 hour 25 minutes)
- start the CD at the beginning of the movie when "A Paramount
Picture" appears
- repeat CD until the end of the movie

I hope you all enjoy the masterpiece that started it all for Pink
Floyd. It is well known that Pink Floyd met the Beatles while they
were working on Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This is where
The Abbey Road Connection begins. Even with their early works, Pink
Floyd showed signs of the concept album format. This new format
worked well for syncs.
