I ask this question because the former great , living legend Roger Waters is
lip-syncing all his songs in concert. This is an absolute fact! Why would
anyone pay the big concert ticket prices to see him lip-sync his songs. That
totally sucks.Does the man even really play his Bass notes?I just talked
with one of the co-authors of Comfortably Numb A history of "The Wall" Pink
Floyd 1978-1981,Richard Mahon and he confirmed the fact and said he was as
dumb-founded and pissed as I was.Can you imagine going to a Stones concert
and saw that Jagger was lip-syncing all his songs.... you'd want to shot
him.I don't think that any person out there that's planning to go to one of
his shows should pay that big money ticket price to see fraud perpetrated on
there stupid asses. What is the world coming to when you go to see a legend
and it's all a farce.
Screw Roger Waters! He is now on my SHIT-LIST.
Remember Milli Vanilli.......
I rest my case.

FAQ:1.Roger Waters is NOT lip synching ALL the songs in the setlist of
2007 tour.
Roger Waters is now 60 + years old and yet manages to enthrall the
live "Pink Floyd" space cadet show. For a man who has been a most
prolific artist during his years with the band,Pink Floyd; its
ridiculous to say such a lip-synch hiccup as the reason to not attend
his shows .Agreed;and even Roger Waters himself does not deny that
he's used DAT for some of songs which he is not able to perform "AS
GOOD AS HE DID IN STUDIO";may be due to some hi-pitches, strechched
out rhyme,or the feel of the song.So to use technology for helping
him perform the songs which any Pink Floyd fan would love to listen;is
not an act of deceit,IMHO.One pays "$ ###" to have an evening full of
songs ;one loves to listen while one warms up his bone besides the
fire; and is treated to a legend who wrote those songs you grew up
with, even if some times he resorts to lip-synch;but the rest of the
band is playing live. How does that mean that its a waste of money???
For all this lip-synching ;Roger Waters is not to be compared to Milli
Vanilli;Britney Whats her name and many other such fakes;he does not
shy away from saying it forthwrite as compared to others who still
half his age ;have to lip synch;give the man his dues that he still
can outperform any other "Eledrly bands";and be at par with the David
Gilmour's pink floyd shows. And I can only imaginewhat sort of persons
are on the hit-list of yours;must have those wwwf-e dumb heads singing
songs about how good a fake wrestle does rakes in with all such song
they make.
And I don't intend to rest the case here;as long as anyone still
complains about Roger Waters lip-synch is bad.

You are right Roger is not lip singing, they just mute his mic. I am
the biggest Roger Waters fan one can imagine (since 1984). The first
CD disk I ever bought was Pros and Cons. I saw Roger numerous times
since 1999 (Columbus, OH, Riverbend, OH, Detroit, Indianapolis) and
loved them all. We do not want to think of our idols as stooping to
these levels. I downloaded a bit torrent DVD show from early last
year and there is one specific section where you say I can not believe
it, there is no way I am believing what I am seeing and hearing.
Contact me and I will get you a copy of the DVD to judge for yourself.
Do I like the fact? No. Does it diminish his accomplishments? No.
Am I going to see him again on May 22nd? Yes.

Here is the information from the info text file from that show:

as we say here in Groningen: if it's ok for Dolly Parton to lip-synch
then it's ok for Roger Waters too!

I just saw Roger in Philadelphia on June 2nd. I was in the 4th row. Rogers
voice was sharp. He at times was strained and the voice actually gave out
during one song
which indicates to me he was not lip syncing. I suggest you go back to
listening to Milli Vanilli if your
so fed up with Roger. Roger gave us a great performance and I would see him
again. He is a legend!

I was at that show, too. It was my 3rd time seeing him and I think it
might've been the best presentation show-wise that I've seen of his.
Set The Controls was amazing! Do you know if there are any boots of
that show? I'd like to relive the experience!

I was fifth row - center? Were you near the couple with the autistic boy?
He just came alive when the show started. That was so cool to watch.
