Hi group,

I have just come back home from Roger Waters "Dark Side of the Moon
Live" concert in Stockholm, Sweden. It was great, but.

The sound was rather hard, metallic sort of. Particularly the
prerecorded bits. And I think it is a pity that Snowy White is not
given a more prominent role in the concert.

He obviously doesn't sing but I he is a so much better guitarist than
the other guy, whose name I don't recall. Snowy had a couple of solos
and they were absolutely brilliant!

We did not see much of Andy Fairweather-Low either. All the others did
very well. Jon Carin is always reliable, Graham Broad is a top class
drummer. And I love the ladies, Katie Kisson, PP Arnold and Carol
Kenyon.

I am glad Roger is still touring and putting on great shows!

The concert sold out within some hours.

Dave Kilminster? As in the subject of the previous posting in here?

I am sorry but I donŽt agree with you at all regarding the guitar play of
Snowy White.

SnowyŽs technique doesnŽt mean I dislike his way of playing. However, Dave
Kilminster was this night a class better in my view. I donŽt know if itŽs a
bad or good omen, but many of the tricky and sensitive parts along the
concerts were handled with extreme brilliance by Dave. Compared to many of
the original recordings throughout PFŽs and WatersŽ careers, Dave handled
them as they "are supposed" to sound and I believe his roll on this tour
also is a class better than Doyle Bramhall J:rŽs on the last tour a couple
of years ago. I think Snowy White lacks fantasy and his play tends do be a
bit "dull" in my point of view. I strongly think his reputation is based
only upon a long and steady career and "having made a name alongside Roger",
rather than the type of play showed by Dave Kilminster this night.

Is it true that Dave Kilminster used to play lefthanded some years back. It
is told that because of some freak accident, he had to shift and learn how
to play guitar righthanded ?

Music is sometimes a case of differences between different listeners. The
concert last night in The Globe - Stockholm was a masterpiece. Although not
given a hundred points, maybe 95-96, if you compare to the way some people
judge good wines on a scale up to.......100.

Roger reportedly almost mis-introduced him as Dave Gil..minster at a
recent show.
